Twestival is on — it’s an event taking place in 200 cities worldwide to raise money for charity: water. If the goal of $1 million dollars is reached — as many as 200 communities, or 80,000 people will get access to clean drinking water. One in six people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water. And the message is getting out there.
Please visit the Live Earth video site — we are the global video partner for Twestival — and learn more + watch live streams from over 100 cities on this 12th of February, 2009.
I was hoping for some good submissions, but a couple of these just rule — pushing for more over the next 24 hours… the best one’s will be screened at the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball. Entries can be new or old, as long as they’re relevant to the new green economy and the great opportunities ahead. Post anywhere with the tag GIB09 or submit (or record) directly to the Live Earth Video site.
This morning Live Earthannounced its partnership with Magnify.net — and to begin with a bang — we’re putting out a call for video submissions for the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball! (Live Earth is Executive Producer). Shira Lazar came by to shoot this great promo last night — check it out for more info and ideas on how your video/film can be included in the project — the best submissions will be screened at the Green Ball hosted by Al Gore and attended by dozens of celebs, musicians (to be announced), and leaders of the environmental movement and the new green economy.
(Click here if you wish to download the original video file to publish / share / spread the word using your preferred video platform and here to embed from Blip). You can upload your video to YouTube or any other video site you choose but please be sure to tag the video GIB09 so we can find it.
One week until the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. Six days until the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball. Less than THREE days to submit your video to the 2009 Green Inaugural Ball video project!
