Why I Deleted My Plaxo Account

I only began using Plaxo about a year ago when it began accepting OpenID and I knew I wouldn’t have to “register” with a service that I found quite useless and duplicative of LinkedIn.

Today it was announced that Comcast will acquire Plaxo for something north of $150 million. Plaxo’s database of contacts and user info will presumably be an integral part of Comcast Interactive Media’s integrated Web/TV/Spying platform which is coined SmartZone. SmartZone was announced last year as a collaboration between Comcast, HP, Zimbra, and others.

Sorry, but I don’t trust Comcast at all what with their sketchy terms of service implementations and withdrawals, it’s quite clear that customer service is not anywhere near the top of their concerns or priorities.

I never really used you Plaxo — and it looks like I never will.

Click here if you wish to delete your Plaxo account too. In the meantime, you can always connect with me on LinkedIn and track my lifestream at a variety of places including Yahoo’s MyBlogLog.

When Obama Wins… Will Twitter Implode?

edwards endorses obama

Last week a fun meme went through the twitterverse… “When Obama wins…”

Well today as news broke that former presidential candidate and former senator John Edwards would endorse Barack Obama — after months of speculation as to whether he would endorse at all — Twitter crashed. Related? Most likely. While Twitter has been on the fritz lately, the Obama/Edwards tweets seem to have sent Twitter’s backend beyond the land of 500 server errors and off the deep end.

Will President Obama save Twitter? Or did attorney general-elect John Edwards just break it?

Ticketmaster Xtreme

still about $5 a ticket, but, c’mon — that’s 5 times original face value. Other bowl tickets would go from $8 to $14 and $12 to $20 after TM charges.

Hillary Clinton Can Take a Vacation, Please

hillary clinton is toast, finished, the end, game overAmazing when even a CNN.com poll puts Clinton in the Bush zone of turning off 2/3 of the public. And CNN was her biggest fan too, right Wolf? It’s beginning to look like she’s the next hater of the “Democrat” party, perhaps she’ll stick around and smear the will of the voters and the choice of the party and then link up with Lieberman for a surprise INdepedopublican ticket? Perhaps that’s easier to believe than what the Daily news seemed to infer this morning by claiming Clinton is staying in to represent the middle class white folks and help perpetuate the right wing myths regarding Obama being a Muslim, etc.

I’m gonna be sick. And so is George McGovern — one of HRC’s earliest backers, now wants to send her far, far away.

Love this site thought: Hillaryis404.org: This candidacy can not be found. Brilliant!
