who needs to talk with former Secretaries of State or Nobel Prize winners when they can get wined and dined by "former Hill staffers" at will.
Never fear, Miller refers to Libby by a more accurate title after dinner when the lights go down.
You gotta hand it to the brits- if I want to find out what is going on here stateside, I can always count on them because our media basically sucks.
I love how miller pulls a George bush and blames her mistakes on the intelligence community. She actually said in her previous NYT article that "when your sources are wrong, you're wrong." I almost fell out of my chair.
Never mind that there was a legion of people who did NOT get it wrong- basically she still doesnt GET it- she just used sources that told her what she (and the hawks in the administration) wanted to hear to support the case for war. When you use Chalabi and the neocons as sources you can bet your info is going to come with an agenda. Did she use anyone who doubted the information she was being spoon fed? Anyone? Of course not. Did she go to Richard Clarke who was an expert in this area? no. Did she go to Mohammed El Baradai, who got the Nobel Prize for getting it right? No. Did she go to Hans Blix or Scott Ritter? Did she go to Colin Powell or Brent Snowcroft or Lawrence Wilkerson? No.
She drives me crazy.
