BarCampLA-5 Was a Blast

Best BarCampLA to date? Quite possibly. There were some amazing presentations — Hopefully presos / audio, etc will be posted online soon. I hosted PowerPoint Karaoke and almost died laughing. There was a very well used gong. Vinyl was spun, there was a Rickroll Train, a Rockband rocktackular, even a couple sessions delete with food artistry and consumption. Read my post from Day 1 at LAist. Check out the photos via flickr:

Media Picks Up on LA Tech Vibe at Twiistup 3

Andy Sternberg — Fri, 18 Jan 2008 21:03:04 +0000

I’ve felt it since I arrived about 2 and a half years ago, and now, the mainstream media is coming around to acknowledge the veracity of Los Angeles’ burgeoning tech scene. Check out what the local CBS affiliate had to say from this week’s successful Twiistup 3, organized by Mike Macadaan and friends.

More video and feedback from Twiistup here, here, and here.
