Social Media / Social Good Panel at SXSW

The highlight of my long weekend at South by Southwest Interactive was the lunchtime panel and mixer hosted by Tikva Morowati of Porter Novelli and Jeff Pulver at Stubb’s — Social Media for the Social Good.

9:00 a.m. The president receives Presidential Daily Briefing.

10:30 a.m. The president tours the Edison Electric Vehicle Technical
Center Garage of the Future. Edison Electric Vehicle Technical Center, Pomona.
Out of Town Travel Pool

10:45 a.m. The president delivers remarks. Edison Electric Vehicle
Technical Center.

12:05 p.m. The president departs Edison Electric Vehicle Technical
Center.

1:10 p.m. The president holds town hall at Miguel Contreras Learning
Center, Los Angeles.

3:10 p.m. The president departs Miguel Contreras Learning Center.

4:20 p.m. The president tapes an interview on “The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno,‘ Burbank.

5:50 p.m. The president departs Long Beach en route Andrews Air Force
Base. Long Beach Airport.

GrandCentral to Become Google Voice. Finally!

google voice not quite ready yetAs a lucky (or just crazy) early adopter who snapped up a Grand Central number, I’ve been waiting a couple years for Google to finally do enhance the service. I did notice last week that the GrandCentral Facebook App had gone blank.

Tonight, Google Voice was announced, but still — I can only log in the old-school GrandCentral way. The screenshots and features are awesome. And they’re even talking voice mail transcription. But again I must ask — when can I REALLY have my Google Voice?!? Supposedly at some point today [Thursday] according to Barron‘s and others.
